Steve Jobs was the CEO of Apple company, which he co-founded in 1976. He lived a successful, interesting and eventful life as an entrepreneur, inventor, and designer. Now, Apple is one the most successful and well-known technology companies in the world. As the year passes, its popularity continuously grows. The name “Steve Jobs” comes in every mind when they talk about Apple company. Here is the short biography of one of the greatest person in the field of technology.

Early Life:

On February 24, 1955, Steve Jobs was born in San Francisco, California. Though, adopted by Paul and Clara Jobs, he always considered them to be his real parents. He grew up with his one sister, Patty. Paul Jobs was a machinist. He used to fix cars as a hobby and was very good at his hand work.

In 1961, his family moved to Mountain View which was becoming a centre for electronics. People started calling that part Silicon Valley because silicon is used in the manufacturing the parts of electronics.

Paul encouraged his son to do experiment with electronics in their garage. Moreover, this created a lifelong interest on Steve for electronics and designing.

He got his schooling at a local school in California. Later, he continued his study at Reed College, Portland, Oregon. Indeed, he was very good at his study and used to get good results. But he was poor at formal education. He always inclined himself in hand work. He got fascinated when he attended a calligraphy course at Reed College. And, that motivated him a lot.

Apple Corporation:

Jobs got introduced to his future partner and main designer of Apple I and II, Wozniak, when he got enrolled at Homestead High School. Wozniak was attending the University of California.

Jobs co-invented the Apple I and II computers with Wozniak while Apple II got success commercially as personal computer. In 1984, they invented Apple Macintosh computer, the first successful home computer.

There is an interesting fact behind the naming of Apple Corporation. Apple was Job’s favorite fruit. So, the logo represents the fruit with a bite taken out of it.

Nowadays different gadgets of Apple i.e. mobiles, i pads and smart watches are very popular. It is one of the most successful brand in technology.

Death of Steve Jobs

 

Steve Jobs died on October 5, 2011 in California. He died because of pancreatic cancer. But, he left a great contribution to the technology. People will remember him forever for his valuable contribution.
