Korean actor Ji Soo, who’s starring in the ongoing Kdrama, “River Where The Moon Rises” admits to the school bullying rumors.

His former classmate Seorabeol Middle School claims that he was bullied by him. Ji Soo was accused of bullying and school violence including ostracizing, verbal abuse, physical violence, and blackmailing. Key East Entertainment commented yesterday that they are looking into the issue, but he admitted all those rumors and apologized.

Yesterday, the actor apologized to everyone through a handwritten note on Instagram for what he did in the past. Here’s the rough translation of what he wrote on the note:

“I sincerely apologize to those who suffered from me. What about the past misbehavior, there is no excuse. These were actions that could not be forgiven.
As I started acting, I covered my past. Receiving undeserved attention from the public, I think I’ve come this far. But in the heart of the past, there was always a feeling of guilt. It’s too late to turn back regrets. It always came to me with great anxiety. The dark past has always crushed me.
Seeing myself acting as an actor, we deeply atone for those who have suffered for a long time. I will reflect on and regret my past, which I will not be able to wash my whole life.

Because of this great fault, it is painful and shameful to cause tremendous damage to broadcasts, producers, actors, and staff members who have been silently watching the scene unfold. I sincerely hope that this will not cause any further damage to the drama.

To all those who have been hurt by me, on my knees, I sincerely apologize.”

KBS Drama “River Where The Moon Rises” canceled the filming for today following the school violence controversy of Ji Soo. They stated, “We’ll decide to resume the filming after the meeting today. The filming on 5th is not confirmed yet”.

KBS has officially removed the Actor Ji Soo from the ongoing drama “River Where The Moon Rises” who plays the Main Role of Ondal and has signed another Korean actor Na In-Woo who was recently seen on the historical romantic-comedy drama “Mr. Queen” as Kim Byeong-in. They’ll try to remove the footage of Ji Soo as much as possible in the next episode.

Ji Soo has appeared in lots of Korean dramas like Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, Page Turner, Strong Girl Bong- Soon, My First Love, When I Was The Prettiest, and many more. He has gained lots of fans through his amazing acting and has been a heartthrob as the second lead in many dramas. He even has a separate fanbase for ‘Second Lead Syndrome’ in Kdrama world.

Ji Soo will enlist in the mandatory military service in October this year and after completing four weeks of basic military training, he will serve as a public social worker. Enlisting in military has nothing to do with the school violence issue, reports say that, he was summoned for military back in 2020.

Ji Soo apologized for all his past actions and admits to bullying but he denies about the sexual allegations. Recently one of the accuser for sexual allegation has made an apology for making false allegation towards him.

One must pay their wrong doings, just a sincere apology won’t make things right. But why did that guy speak now? Isn’t that doubtful? why was he silent till now? now that he’s popular? or got a chance to make his career as a lead actor? was revenge the only reason? a lot of question arises. Was it appropriate to remove him from his ongoing drama? or should he be punished more? what do you guys think would be the best option? Let us know.
