Real Madrid and Barcelona both knocked down in the quarter finals.

Real Sociedad proceed into the semi finals defeating La Liga leader Real Madrid in the quarter finals of copa del rey. The competitive match played in Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, resulted the defeat of Real Madrid.

And Athletic Club proceed to the semis after defeating Barcelona in the home ground. Williams’ last minute goal helped Athletic club eliminate Barcelona from the tournament.

Barcelona’s usual problem became the hindrance again for them. The poor performance of team in the away matches made their copa del rey run stop. Poor performance and lack of confidence and ability of scoring goals in away matches forced Barcelona to stop their run in CDR.

Real Sociedad made a good start. At the end of the first half, they were at 1-0 lead. The loaned man ‘Martin Oddegard’ scored a early goal for La Real in the 22th minute. Though, Rodrygo and Nacho Fernandes scored late two goals in 81 and 93 minutes, they couldn’t make in the semi finals.
