Find out where your AWS bill goes, and what to cut first.
We pull your AWS cost data with read-only access, break it down by service, usage type and month, and show you what is growing, what is wasted and what to change. You get a ranked savings plan, and if you want, we make the changes and track the bill afterwards.
An AWS bill grows the way a drawer fills up. A test server nobody switched off, a database sized for a launch that never got that busy, logs and backups kept in the most expensive storage class forever, traffic between regions that nobody planned for. Each line is small. Together they are often the second-largest cost in a software business after salaries, and most teams only look at the total.
We start with the data, not a checklist. Using a read-only role, we pull several months of cost history from AWS Cost Explorer and break it down by service, then by usage type and operation for the services that matter most — usually EC2, RDS, S3 and data transfer. We chart each one month by month, measure how fast it is growing and how much it swings, and flag the services that cross the thresholds you care about.
Each line is small. Together they are often the second-largest cost after salaries.
Then we explain it. Every finding says what the cost is, why it is there and what to do about it: an instance family that can come down a size, data that should move to S3 Infrequent Access or Glacier, a steady database that should be on a Reserved Instance or Savings Plan, NAT or cross-region traffic that a small architecture change removes. The plan is split into what to do this week, this quarter and this year, so the quick wins are not held up by the bigger work.
We run this reporting on our own AWS accounts and on accounts we manage for clients, month after month, so we see how bills actually move after changes, not just on paper. We review and recommend; you approve every change before it touches production.
Analyse, save, or keep watching
- 01
Cost analysis
Several months of cost history broken down by service, usage type and month, with trend charts, an executive summary for management, a detailed report for engineers, CSV exports and a ranked savings plan.
Fixed price · one-off - 02
Analysis and savings
The analysis, then we make the agreed changes with your team — rightsizing, storage lifecycle rules, Reserved Instance or Savings Plan purchases, clean-up of idle resources — and compare the bill before and after.
Fixed scope · hands-on - 03
Monthly cost review
The same report every month for each AWS account, a short note on what moved and why, and a check before new spend lands. For teams that want someone watching the bill without hiring for it.
Monthly · ongoing
What every review covers
- Read-only access through a role you create and can revoke
- Cost by service, usage type and operation, month by month
- Trend, growth and volatility for every high-cost service
- EC2, RDS, S3 and data-transfer deep dives
- Rightsizing, storage-tier and commitment recommendations
- Executive summary plus a detailed engineering report
- Separate reports for each AWS account
Before we start
- What access do you need?
- A read-only IAM role with access to AWS Cost Explorer and billing data, and read-only access to the resources we are reviewing. We send you the exact policy. It cannot change anything, and you can remove it whenever you like. Any change we make later goes through your approval.
- How much will we save?
- We will not promise a percentage before we have seen the bill. The analysis tells you, line by line, what each change is likely to save and how hard it is to make, so you can decide which ones are worth it.
- We have several AWS accounts. Is that a problem?
- No. We report on each account separately — production, staging, development — and side by side, because waste often hides in the accounts nobody watches.
- Do you work with Azure or Google Cloud?
- This service is built around AWS cost data. We run workloads on Azure and Google Cloud as well and can review their bills, but the detailed reporting described here is AWS. Tell us what you run and we will say plainly what we can cover.
- What does it cost?
- A fixed price, quoted after a short conversation about how many accounts you have and roughly how large the bill is. You have the price in writing before we start.
Tell us roughly what you spend.
How many AWS accounts, roughly what the monthly bill is, and which line on it is bothering you. We reply with a fixed price and the read-only policy to attach.
