Software work across Kathmandu and the valley.

Kathmandu is where the studio is registered, and it is where the gap we were built to fill is easiest to see: a city full of businesses sold a theme and a stack of plugins, told it was finished on launch day, and left to watch it drift a month later. We work on the same mobile connections their customers use, so a page that loads slowly on a Ntc connection in Baneshwor is a problem we feel rather than one we read about in a report.

We take a project from the design through to the server it runs on, rather than handing off a build for someone else to host. The frontend is Next.js and React, the API is FastAPI, the data sits in PostgreSQL, and the whole thing is deployed and watched on infrastructure we run — a shared plan, a VPS, or a cloud account on AWS, Google Cloud, Azure or DigitalOcean, chosen to fit the workload rather than a sales target. The site you are reading is the working sample: the Lattice journal and this studio sit on that stack, on our own hosting, moved off WordPress by the team that would move yours. Every server we stand up is hardened first — firewalls, patches and access controls in place before launch day, so a fix is rarely a 2 a.m. emergency.

Most of our Kathmandu clients need one or two things rather than the full menu: a real web application instead of a brochure, a mobile app that shares the website's data, campaigns run in ad and analytics accounts they own, or a server someone is actually watching. We scope each piece in writing before any code is written, ship in small pieces you can open in a browser early, and hand over work published under your own accounts — never locked to us. For PTE Nepal, here in the city, that meant a website, search and social campaigns, and end-to-end tracking, judged on what it earned rather than how busy it looked.

Working in person is part of how the studio runs, in Kathmandu and beyond. When a build needs a room with the people who run the business — the front desk that keeps the register by hand, the manager who knows where the spreadsheet really lives — we can be there, then carry on remotely once the work is mapped. The company is registered here in Kathmandu; its day-to-day operating base is now Bharatpur, in Chitwan, and the same team works across both.
