Everest Bank internet banking login guide: netebl.com and EBL Touch 24 registration, password reset, NPR 20 lakh daily limit, fees and customer care in Nepal.
Everest Bank Limited (EBL) was founded in 1994 and has Punjab National Bank of India as its joint-venture partner, holding 20% of its equity. The bank says it serves more than 16 lakh customers through 134 branches and 157 ATMs. For online banking it runs two main retail channels: EBL Retail Internet Banking, which you use in a browser at netebl.com, and the EBL Touch 24 mobile app. On Google Play the app is listed as EBL Touch 24; on the Apple App Store the same Everest Bank app appears as EBL Mobile Banking. This guide explains how to register for each, the official login address, what to do when you forget a password or get locked out, and the limits and charges Everest Bank publishes.
EBL Retail Internet Banking vs EBL Touch 24
Both channels give you access to your Everest Bank accounts, but they sign you up differently and carry different limits.
| Point | Retail Internet Banking (web) | EBL Touch 24 (mobile app) |
|---|---|---|
| Where to access | netebl.com | Google Play, Apple App Store and Huawei AppGallery |
| How to register | Request form submitted to the bank | Self-registration in the app, or a form at a branch |
| Login ID | User ID (you can change it to one you prefer) | Your registered mobile number |
| Per transaction limit | NPR 5,00,000 | NPR 1,00,000 |
| Per day limit | NPR 20,00,000 | NPR 3,00,000 |
| Per month limit | NPR 50,00,000 | NPR 30,00,000 |
| Biometric login | Not listed | Yes |
If you need to move more than NPR 1 lakh in one transaction or more than NPR 3 lakh in a day, use Retail Internet Banking. For bill payments, top-ups, QR payments and everyday transfers, the app is quicker. Everest Bank says the internet banking service is also open to NRN customers.
Business customers have separate products. Everest Bank lists Corporate Internet Banking and Corporate Pay under its e-services. The retail service described here is for individual account holders.
How to Register for EBL Retail Internet Banking
Everest Bank does not offer online self-registration for Retail Internet Banking. You apply with a request form:
- Download the request form. The bank's Retail Internet Banking page says it is available from everestbankltd.com or netebl.com, and branches keep copies. The form on Everest Bank's downloads page is the Application Form for Digital Banking Service (Individual), a one-page letter to your branch manager that asks for your account number, account holder name, mobile number and email, and lets you tick "EBL Touch 24 - Omni Channel" with either "Inquiry & Transaction" or "Inquiry Only" access, plus SMS and email notifications, use outside the country and a monthly e-statement. Confirm with the branch that this is the form it wants for Retail Internet Banking.
- Fill in the form with your account and contact details exactly as the bank has them on record.
- Submit the signed form to the bank, normally at your branch.
- Collect your User ID from the branch. The bank's internet banking FAQ says the User ID is given when a complete form is submitted and is not sent by SMS or email, while the passwords are emailed to the address registered with the bank, normally within 3 working days.
- Sign in at netebl.com. The FAQ says you must replace the system-generated login and transaction passwords with your own at first login; passwords are case-sensitive, the User ID is not.
If you hold more than one account in the same name, Everest Bank recommends a single User ID so that every account shows under one login. Joint accounts can have separate User IDs. If your login can view accounts but not transfer money, the FAQ says your User ID has not been given transaction rights: submit the transaction password form at a branch and the transaction password is sent to your email.
How to Register for EBL Touch 24 (Mobile Banking)
Everest Bank says all current, savings and overdraft account holders can use mobile banking. The bank's page says the app works on Android 5.0 and later and iOS 12.4 and later; the App Store listing currently requires iOS 13.0 or later.
Self-registration in the app
- Download EBL Touch 24 from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. The publisher is Everest Bank Limited.
- Choose the self-registration option.
- Enter your account number, your card number and your mobile number. The bank checks these against its records.
- Enter the OTP sent to your mobile.
- Finish the setup, then log in and start using the app.
Because the app asks for a card number, keep your Everest Bank debit card with you when you register.
Registration through a branch
You can also download the mobile banking registration form and apply at a branch. After the bank registers you, you receive an SMS asking you to activate the service. Once activated, you get an initial PIN for Touch 24. Open the app, choose the option to proceed to login, and complete activation.
How to Log In to Everest Bank Internet Banking
Retail Internet Banking
- Open a browser and go to https://netebl.com/. Type the address yourself rather than following a link from an email or social media post.
- Enter your User ID and login password. Everest Bank suggests using the on-screen virtual keyboard to type passwords.
- When you confirm a transfer or payment, you will be asked for your separate transaction password.
- Log out when you finish. Do not just close the tab. The FAQ says the portal also logs you out after 5 idle minutes.
The internet banking service lets you set restrictions on login time and set your own transaction limits, which is worth doing if you only bank at certain hours.
EBL Touch 24
In the current version of the app, your User ID is your registered mobile number. Enter it with your password, or turn on biometric login if your phone supports it.
Forgot Password, Expired Password or Locked Account
Retail Internet Banking: forgot password
- Go to netebl.com.
- Enter your User ID.
- Click "Forgot Password" and follow the instructions to set a new password.
The bank's FAQ adds that the online reset only works if you have already set a secret question and answer inside the portal. If you have not, ask your branch for a new password; it is sent to the same registered email address.
Retail Internet Banking: common error messages
- "You have exceeded the max. no. of attempts. Login is disabled": your login password was blocked after more than 5 wrong attempts. If you know the correct password, ask your branch to re-activate the login. The transaction password allows 3 attempts before it is disabled.
- "Invalid Login Id or Password": Everest Bank says this message also appears when your login is disabled. Contact your nearest branch to have the user activated.
- "Transaction password expired": the transaction password is valid for 90 days. Log in and use the change password option to set a new transaction password. You will not receive an SMS alert for this change.
- "Transaction not allowed": there is an exception on the account you are debiting. The branch has to fix it.
EBL Touch 24: reset your password
- On the login screen, tap "have trouble signing in".
- Enter the personal details the app asks for. The bank verifies them.
- Select the three secret pictures you chose earlier.
- Enter the OTP sent to your mobile.
- Set your new password.
Everest Bank does not charge for a self reset in the app. If the branch has to regenerate your PIN, the published charge is Rs 75. The Application Form for Digital Banking Service has an amendment section for EBL Touch 24 with boxes for Password Reset, Reset Device ID, Block Service, Unblock Service and Renew Service, so that is the form to take to the branch.

Security Practices Everest Bank Recommends
Everest Bank says it will never ask for your financial credentials by phone or email. Treat any caller or message asking for a password, PIN or OTP as fraud. The bank's online banking guidance also says:
- Keep your User ID and passwords secret, and do not share them even with bank staff.
- Choose passwords that are hard to guess and change them from time to time.
- Register for SMS alerts so you see every transaction on your account.
- Do not use public Wi-Fi for mobile banking.
- Install apps only from official app stores, and do not click links in emails or social media posts that claim to be from the bank.
- Check the amount and recipient on the confirmation screen before you approve a transaction.
- Tell the bank when you change your mobile number, so alerts do not go to someone else.
- Inform the bank immediately if you think your account details have been compromised.
