RBB internet banking login guide for Digital Sansar: register in the app or at a branch, sign in on the web, fix expired passwords, and see fees and limits.
Rastriya Banijya Bank Limited (RBB) runs its internet banking and mobile banking on one service called RBB Digital Sansar. The bank describes Digital Sansar as an upgrade of its earlier mobile banking system. The same credentials work in the phone app and on the web at digitalsansar.rbb.com.np. This guide explains how to register (at a branch or by yourself in the app), how to log in, what to do when a password expires or a new phone shows an "unauthorized user" error, the fees and limits RBB publishes, and the numbers to call. Every figure below comes from RBB's own website or its official app-store listing.
RBB Digital Sansar, RBB Smart and USSD: Which Is Which?
RBB customers often meet three names, and they are easy to mix up:
- RBB Digital Sansar is the current digital banking platform. It covers the mobile app, the web login and an SMS mode. The bank's Digital Sansar page and FAQ both use this name.
- RBB Smart is the name that survives in older official text. The App Store description still opens with "RBB Smart is Rastriya Banijya Bank's Official Mobile Banking App", the Play Store release note says "RBB Smart now more convenient", and one FAQ question asks about "RBBSmart", but both store listings are titled RBB Digital Sansar.
- RBBL USSD Mobile Banking is a separate service for basic phones with no internet. RBB lists a yearly registration fee of Rs 50 for it, and you register once at the bank before using it.
When this guide says "RBB internet banking" or "RBB mobile banking", it means Digital Sansar.
Web Login vs Mobile App
According to RBB's FAQ, customers can use Digital Sansar by downloading the app or from a computer or laptop "with same credential". The bank also points customers whose phones cannot run the app to the web address, which works on a computer, laptop or phone browser and from abroad.
| Point | Web (digitalsansar.rbb.com.np) | RBB Digital Sansar app |
|---|---|---|
| Where it runs | Any browser on a computer, laptop or phone | Android and iPhone |
| Credentials | Same as the app | Login password to sign in; MPIN to approve payments |
| Use from abroad | Yes, per RBB's FAQ | RBB's FAQ says the service works from any location and points users abroad to the web address |
| Without internet | No | SMS mode for account inquiries, top-up and SendMoney |
On the App Store the developer is listed as Rastriya Banijya Bank Ltd. On Google Play the listing is published by F1soft, the bank's software vendor, with rbb.info@rbb.com.np as the support email, so the vendor name there is expected. Install it only from the official listings: RBB Digital Sansar on Google Play or RBB Digital Sansar on the App Store.
How to Register for RBB Digital Sansar
RBB offers two routes. Self-registration is quicker, but RBB says it gives "limited facility/limits only". For full limits you still need to visit a branch.
Option 1: Self-registration in the app
- Install RBB Digital Sansar from the Play Store or App Store.
- Open the app and tap Not Activated Yet.
- Tap New User Self Registration.
- Enter your account number and your mobile number, then submit.
Use the same mobile number you gave when you opened the account. RBB's FAQ warns about this specifically, because a mismatch stops the registration.
Option 2: Registration at a branch (full facility)
- Visit your nearest RBB branch. The mobile banking application form is available on RBB's Download Application Form page if you want to fill it in beforehand.
- Once the branch registers you, an SMS or email alert arrives on your registered mobile or email.
- In the app, tap Register/Activate and accept the terms and conditions.
- Enter your mobile number. An activation code is generated to complete the setup.
If you can see your balance but the fund transfer or top-up screens open blank, RBB's FAQ explains that your profile has a non-financial role only. Visit a branch to have the financial role enabled.
How to Log In to RBB Internet Banking
- Open a browser and go to https://digitalsansar.rbb.com.np/. This is the address RBB's own Digital Sansar page links to from its "Digital Sansar Login" button. The page is titled "Rastriya Banijya Smart Banking" and first asks you to enter your mobile number.
- Sign in with the same credentials you use in the app.
One caution: RBB's FAQ prints the web address as "digitalsanar.rbb.com.np", missing an "s". That spelling does not open. Use digitalsansar, with "sansar" spelled in full.
In the app, sign in with your login password. RBB's FAQ explains the split: the login password gets you in, and the MPIN is needed for every financial transaction such as fund transfers and top-ups. In SMS mode, the MPIN goes with every request.
Password Expiry, Forgotten Passwords and New Phones
Password or MPIN expired
Under RBB's security policy, the Digital Sansar MPIN and password expire every 90 days. When you see an expiry message, log in with your existing password in internet mode and change it, entering the old password as the current one and then your new one. In SMS mode, change the MPIN from the app's Setting menu.
Forgotten login password or transaction PIN
RBB does not publish a self-service reset flow on its website. Its fee schedule lists a charge of NPR 20 for a "GPRS Login Password/ Transaction PIN Reset", so a reset is handled by the bank. Contact the mobile banking team at operation.mbanking@rbb.com.np or the call centre (numbers below), or visit your branch.
"Unauthorized user" after changing phones
Digital Sansar stores your phone's IMEI (the FAQ calls it the "IME ID") at first login. If you change your phone or upgrade its system, the app can stop working with an unauthorized-user message. RBB gives two fixes: tap Reset Device in the app, or ask the bank to reset the device for you.
SMS mode says "unregistered user"
This usually happens on dual-SIM phones. The app sends SMS from the default SIM, so set your registered number as the default SIM, swap the SIM slots, or ask a branch to change the registered number.
What You Can Do on Digital Sansar
RBB's Digital Sansar page lists these services:
- SendMoney: transfers within RBB and to other banks, with saved and scheduled payments.
- Top-up and utility payments: mobile recharge, electricity, water, TV, insurance and credit card bills.
- Government revenue payments and merchant QR payments. The app listing notes that RBB's app is a member of the Fonepay network.
- Third-party payments.
- Inquiries: account statements, available balance, transaction limits, interest rates and forex rates.
- Service requests: fixed deposit opening and cheque book requests.
- Digital counter services: eCash and eVoucher.
- Dispute resolution for digital transactions, registering interest in a product and booking an appointment.
- ATM and branch locations.
RBB Mobile Banking Fees and Transaction Limits
These figures are from the "Mobile Banking Fees and Charges" section of RBB's current fee schedule, published on its Fees and Charges page. The schedule does not give separate figures for the web login.

| Login password / transaction PIN reset | NPR 20 |

The same schedule lists a range of NPR 10 to NPR 60 for transfers through Fonepay networks and the eSewa wallet. If you self-registered, your limits may be lower than these until a branch upgrades your profile, so check the transaction-limit inquiry in the app before a large payment.
Security Habits RBB Asks You to Follow
- Keep your MPIN secret. RBB suggests memorising it and deleting it from your SMS inbox.
- Avoid public Wi-Fi when using Digital Sansar.
- Download the app only from the Play Store or the Apple App Store.
- Change your MPIN regularly, even before the 90-day expiry.
- If your phone is lost, contact RBB immediately to block the service.
- Never share your password, MPIN or any code with a caller, even one who says they are from the bank.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the RBB internet banking login address?
Go to digitalsansar.rbb.com.np and sign in with the same credentials you use in the RBB Digital Sansar app. Note the spelling: RBB's own FAQ has a typo ("digitalsanar") that does not open.
How do I register for RBB mobile banking without visiting a branch?
Install RBB Digital Sansar, tap Not Activated Yet, then New User Self Registration, and enter your account number and the mobile number you gave the bank. Self-registered users get limited features and limits; for the full service you need to visit a branch.
How do I reset my RBB Digital Sansar password?
RBB's fee schedule lists a login password or transaction PIN reset at NPR 20, handled by the bank. Contact operation.mbanking@rbb.com.np, call 01-5970018 or toll free 16600132022, or visit your branch. If your password has simply expired after 90 days, log in with the old one and change it.
Why does RBB Digital Sansar say "unauthorized user" on my new phone?
The app links itself to your device at first login. Use the Reset Device option in the app, or ask the bank to reset your device, and then log in again on the new phone.
How much can I transfer per day with RBB mobile banking?
RBB's fee schedule sets funds transfers at NPR 1,00,000 per transaction, NPR 2,00,000 per day and NPR 20,00,000 per month. Bill payments and wallet transfers are capped at NPR 50,000 per day.
